DIY Livery
The D.I.Y. Liveries at Kingswood on the west side of Findon, providing access directly to the South Downs with uninterrupted bridleways to the West, all the way to Arundel & Amberley, and to the East all the way to Shoreham, without the need to cross a public road.
D.I.Y Livery facilities include:
– Good sized airy boxes
– 17 acres of well kept grazing next to the stables, on well drained land on the chalk of the South Downs allowing turn out all year round.
– Use of the modern schooling ring with floodlighting, a composite sand surface to ensure a more resilient ride.
– Private storage space for hay, straw and feed.
– Turn out / grazing goes with the hire of a box.
– Water, electric and water troughs in paddocks
– 24 Hour CCTV
What's included in DIY livery?
DIY livery offers horse owners access to stables and facilities, but all aspects of horse care must be undertaken by the horse owner. No services are offered by the owner of Kingswood. For more details on your responsibilities in a DIY livery arrangement, please see our Useful Information page.

Turnout Paddocks
Kingswood provides excellent all year-round grass turnout paddocks are secure and regularly maintained and rested with automatic watering troughs.
Schooling Ring
A professional menage surface sand/Pasada topping of PVC providing a cushioning shock-absorbing which gives a smooth and comfortable ride.
The surface is well-drained, measures 40m x 20m, has slanted kick boards, is fully floodlit, and the school is regularly levelled with grader.
There is a Resident Trainer tutor who stables their horse at Kingswood, OR you can hire in your own tutor. Please note that your tutor must have Liability Insurance.

Grazing Only
17 acres of excellent grazing all year-round and giving plenty of acreage for horses to move about and allowing paddocks to be well rested. Read article – Long or Short Grass?
Direct access to public bridleways
Our land provides traffic free access to public bridleways on South Downs and surrounding area, direct from Kingswood Livery Stables.
From Kingswood going West our land adjoins directly access onto the bridleway leading to the South Downs Way with some ten miles of uninterrupted bridleways all the way to Angmering Park Estate and Arundel and Amberley without the need to cross a public road.
For riding to the East, horses can go West from our land then swing around to the North and cross the Flyover at Windlesham School with no road work after this, joining the South Downs Way which takes you to Cissbury Ring and Chanctonbury Ring, then onto Steyning and Shoreham still on the South Downs Way to Eastbourne.

Visitors and Trekking
On occasions, if we have adequate grazing, we may provide an overnight stay on a DIY basis, from the end of May-September. We have Bell Tents for guests with hot showers and toilets. www.thehappyglamper.co.uk
There are good facilities in walking distance (8 minutes) into Findon Village including Hotels or Bed & Breakfast, and six excellent Pubs & Restaurants.
Car Parking
There is ample parking in the front car park which has lighted through the night. and for longer term parking, there is more in the inner yard, which has lighting. We have 24 Hours of CCTV.
